Post-Offer FCPE 

CHA will help educate your staff in regards to The Post-Offer Functional Capacity Physical Examination (FCPE). A Post Offer Examination is the most accurate and reliable tool available to employers and healthcare providers to measure and determine an individual’s ability to perform work tasks. Review of post offer training and functional capacity exams.

The FCPE consists of the following elements:

  • Physical Examination
  • Computerized Objective Testing
  • Grip Testing
  • Pinch Testing
  • Range of Motion Testing
  • Isometric Strength Testing

Each potential employee is placed in one of the following categories:

  • The individual is able to perform the job task safely without causing him or herself harm or harm to others
  • Reasonable accommodations are required
  • The employee is found to be unable to perform the specific job task without causing him or herself harm or harm to others
  • Baseline Study for Future Comparison – through the FCPE, employers have access to a functionality baseline for every employee.
  • When an injury occurs, the FCPE provides the employer with a documented pre-injury baseline status, which can ultimately save the employer expensive litigation.
  • Diagnostic Testing – Nerve Conduction Velocity, Somatosensory Evoked Potential and
  • Diagnostic Ultrasound (when indicated).
  • Drug Testing
